A 'Fugly' Giveaway!


Hey! I'm joining in Lucy's Fugly Fabric Party over at Charm About You! If you're new here, welcome! I'm Jodi, mum to 2 munchkin kids and budding textile artist. I make reversible clothes, quilts, drawstring play mats and sell them here in my little store on Etsy. Please stop a while and look around!


Today I'm giving away a half yard bundle of these not-too-fugly fabrics! They are, none-the-less designs that have sat on my shelf for quite some time and are now waiting to be appreciated even more by someone like you!


Here'll you'll find some Joel Dewberry, Anna Maria Horner, Amy Butler, Jennifer Paganelli, Tanya Whelan and 2 yummy flannel prints by Erin McMorris! All are pre-washed.

  3. I love to make quilts. I'm on a fabric "diet" this year. I have bought less than three yards of fabric this year, but WINNING fabric doesn't count. It's like eating something with zero calories. I would mix the fabrics with things I already have and make a quilt. Thanks for the chance to win!

  8. I am just going to sit here quietly and not argue about ugly like Laura. I don't want you changing your mind! Happy to take these off your hands if you win. I would use them in quilts of course, mostly scrappy quilts because that is what I love to make. Thanks for the giveaway.

  11. I am using a portion of the fabric I win for charity quilts. The rest I would use for mug rugs. I am pretty new, so anything to build a 'stash' is great.

  13. Wow, these are not fugly at all. Beautiful fabrics! The pink/purple ones would be great for a new quilt I have in mind, and the blue and white gingham would be perfect for some kitchen items for my yellow and blue kitchen. The rest would be loved and used, too. Thanks for the chance to win!

    What I would make would depend on the size of the fabric cut. Probably either some outfits, cushions or pouches etc...

  25. I notice you have some flannels in among those cute fabrics, and would definitely not mind adding those to my stash. This year, I'm using my flannels to practice FMQ and each practice piece will be a blanket donation for abandoned cats at the humane society.

  41. Oh wow!! LOVE several of those fabrics-- (actually, I've been dreaming about some of that Tanya Whelan for a while now- literally! :-)!! If I won, I can think of several projects that those prints would work wonderfully in... all the way from my "dreamed of" picnic quilt to adorable little dresses for my little Clarabel (she turned 9 months old on the 5th -- and is the apple of her Gigi's eyes!) Thank you for your generous giveaway!! The winner will be one thing for certain-- LUCKY! :-) (and very happy, I'm sure)!

  45. I have a lot of little gifts to do and these would make great pouches or mini bags. I'm also erraticly working on a Bottled Rainbows quilt and could use some of the red based fabrics!

  48. I have made two charity quilts this year so far and want to make at least two more in the near future. I like to use pretty fabrics and I think these are. I would make some kind of quilt for one of my charities out of this if I won.

  51. These are so NOT fugly..... they are yummy, and if I won them I would sit ans gaze at them for a while and enjoy them, and then I would make drawer string bags and purses from them (because that is my favourite thing to make) x

  71. These fabrics are not fugly! They are wonderful! I would make yoyo's with this fabric. I am working on a quilt for my king size bed and I need 2500 yoyo's. These would fit in real nicely.

  74. I'm into disappearing nine patch crib size quilts, I just love all the variations. I could make a lot of squares, I think the fabrics are great! Unless I absolutely love what comes together, I donate the quilt to our local hospital or our Women's crisis center. I love doing that too. Thanks.

  91. as I still haevn't won any fabric in a give away I still have q quilt promise undone for my kid sister (12) - she "caught" me entering a give away and shot one question after the other at me until I promised her to make a quilt for her if I ever did win fabric. She's stuborn like me, so she decalred she doesn't want a quilt made from bought fabric. She sure is giving me a hrad time.
